See information on the course agenda below. This course provides information for taking Agile to the next level at your organization, expanding on current Lean and Agile efforts and maximizing their potential. It includes an overview of:·         Scaling Lean and Agile Teams: The SAFTM Enterprise Adoption Framework·         Agile Engineering: XP Practices and Acceptance Test Driven Development using Gherkin, Cucumber and Jenkins This course can be taken as a 1 or 2 day. Day 1 is an overview of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAF) and introduction to eXtreme Programming (XP) practices. Day 2 is optional and provides more in-depth information on Test Driven Development, ATDD, Ruby basics and Cucumber.  The Scaled Agile Framework is a proven approach for implementing Agile practices at an enterprise scale. It has been attributed to being the single most important factor to longevity of Agile transformations in large enterprises. Participants will learn how to:·         Create a "Big Picture" of the delivery organization, highlighting roles, teams, activities, artifacts·         Recognize the three levels of scale: Team, Program and Portfolio under the Scaled Agile Framework·         Leverage consistent Agile Release Planning across a program, product line and enterprise The Scaled Agile Framework is detailed in Dean Leffingwell's books Agile Software Requirements: Lean Requirements for Teams, Programs and the Enterprise (2011) and Scaling Software Agility: Best Practices for Large Enterprises (2007). Agile Engineering is a set of eXtreme Programming (XP) and Lean/Agile practices that enable teams to move towards the nirvana of single piece flow in Kanban systems. He is a 20-year project management veteran with nearly half of that leading and coaching Agile teams. In addition to his Agile Champion role during multiple transformations at Fortune 50 companies, Adam recently led enterprise-wide Lean-Agile initiatives at banking, telecom and government clients. His recent leadership in introducing Kanban methods to several struggling clients has resulted in new converts to Lean-Agile methods. Adam has an M.S. in Management of I.T. from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce. Arin Sime is an Agile Coach, Developer, and the Founder of AgilityFeat. He works with teams at small startups, large corporations, and government agencies. He has been a speaker at Agile 2009, Agile 2010, XP2011, as well as other regional conferences. He brings his diverse background of technical and management experience to bear when coaching teams through process and engineering challenges.
