Casselberry Art House Offers Fun Parent Child Workshops The Casselberry Art House offers many exciting classes throughout the year. Located in Casselberry at 127 Quail Pond Circle, the Art House serves the communities throughout Seminole County. In addition to six week art classes, Summer Art Academy, Date Night, Girl’s Night Out, and birthday parties, the Art House offers fun Parent Child workshops on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 1 to 3 p.m. During these one day workshops, parents will work with their children and a professional art instructor to create one-of-a-kind paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, and more! Every month is a new project! Limited seating, so please pre-register. Classes are $10 for residents and $15 for non-residents, and that includes both the parent and the child. Parents and their children will work together to create their very own Jackson Pollock inspired painting. The canvases will be on the floor while you drip and splatter the paint color of your choice across it. Aprons are available but please wear your art clothing! All supplies are included. Instructor: Marla E. February 16 - Whimsical Wind Chimes Using found objects, beads, buttons, seashells, wire, and anything else you can get your hands on, create a unique and whimsical wind chime. Perfect for you and your child to get ready for the upcoming spring time! All supplies are included, but bringing strange items is encouraged. March 16 - Easter Egg Painting Paint, plaster, mold, and create masterpieces on Paper Mache eggs! Real eggs will also be available to learn how to blow out the yolk and paint a real eggshell. April 20 - Printing with Nature Using basic printing techniques and various items found in nature, you and your child will create an amazing piece of art together. All supplies are included. May 18 - Finger Painting Van Gogh Parents and their children will recreate Van Gogh’s masterpieces by using the best tool - fingers! See for yourself how Van Gogh mixed colors and applied them to the canvas, but in a relaxed and fun atmosphere - no missing ears required! All supplies are included. Instructor: Marla E. June 15 - Melted Bead Sun-catchers Using pony beads, we will create unique and funky sun-catchers! All supplies are included. July 20 - Personalized Scratch-off Tickets Families will learn how to create their very own scratch-off tickets! Create an entire ticket from beginning to end just for fun, or give it to someone special for a unique surprise. These are also perfect to make reward cards for well behaved kids!
