February 8, 2013 - February 10, 2013 BASS PRO SHOPS OUTDOOR WORLD ORLANDO 2013 TURKEY SMACKDOWN ARCHERY COMPETITION    ORLANDO FLORIDAATTENTION ALL ARCHERS AND BOWHUNTERS ENTER TODAY AND COMPETE IN THE BASS PRO SHOPS OUTDOOR WORLD ORLANDO  2013 TURKEY SMACKDOWN COMPETITIONEVENT DATE: FEBRUARY 8, 9, 10                                                                      LOCATION: BASS PRO SHOPS OUTDOOR WORLD ORLANDO                                                                        5156 INTERNATIONAL DR ORLANDO FL. 32819 / PH 407-563-5200Now is the time to bring your buddies and compete for “best shot” bragging rights. Now you can prove to everyone in the Orlando area that you are as good as you say. Have a spectacular time competing at the shoot and possibly win some great prizes just by entering. Prizes and giveaways will total over $4,000.00 (based on 150 maximum shooters). Top Archer will win a $500.00 Bass Pro Shops Gift Card. Competition Summary:  On Feb 8th or 9th you will shoot 30 arrows (3 arrows, 10 ends) at a 3 spot vegas face. Possible high score of 330. The top 32 scores from Friday & Saturday will be seeded and face- off at “HIGH NOON” on Sunday February 10th for a sensational face to face    “6 Arrow Smackdown”. Each winner will advance to the next round until only one winner remains. Entry fee is only $25.00 and entitles you to shoot and be eligible for prize drawings to be held at the end of Sunday’s Smackdown. Register now to sign up for your preferred shooting time on Friday Feb 8th or 9th from 4pm – 8pm or on Saturday from 9am – 7pm. Number of entrants limited to 150. Limited shooting spaces and times are available. Scoring and equipment rules are listed below. Registration forms are available at the store and will be collected with Entry Fees on Friday & Saturday ONLY!  TURKEY SMACKDOWN / RULES AND REGULATIONSOn February 8, 2013 the 1st Annual Turkey Smackdown will be held. This is an event that will test the skills of some of the best Archers in the State of Florida. Entry fee is $25.00 (Cash or Check Only) to shoot a qualifying round of thirty arrows (Vegas Face Targets) on Friday Feb 8 from 4pm – 8pm & on Saturday Feb 9 from 9am – 7pm. The top 32 scores will then be seeded, according to their score, and compete on Sunday, in a head-to-head six arrow elimination shoot-offs (Turkey Head Targets). Each shoot-off winner will advance to the next round until there is only one winner. The top Smackdown Shooter will be awarded a $500.00 Bass Pro Shops Gift Card. The final Runner-up will be awarded a $200.00 Bass Pro Shops Gift Card. All registered Archers will be eligible to win any one of multiple raffle prizes that will be drawn immediately at the conclusion of the event. All registered Archers will receive raffle tickets on Sunday Feb 10. Must be present to win. (Event dates and raffle prize amounts all subject to change)  TARGETS AND SCORING: Vegas face 3 spot targets will be shot for the qualifying round. One arrow is to be shot at each spot on the target. If more than one arrow is shot in a spot, only the lower scoring arrow will be scored. An arrow touching the line on a higher scoring circle will be scored as the higher score.  Appointed Range Officials will decide how questionable arrows are scored and their decision is final.  Scoring will be as follows:Gold small inner X-ring = 11 pointsGold larger inside circle = 10 pointsGold largest circle = 9 pointsRed smaller circle = 8 pointsRed larger circle = 7 pointsBlue circle = 6 pointsRest of target = 0 points Ten ends of three arrows each will shot for a maximum score of 330 points. Shooting time will be limited to a total shooting time of 3 minutes per end. Turkey targets selected by Bass Pro Shops will be used for the elimination round (exact scoring to be determined). One arrow shoot-offs will be used to break all ties. All shooting distances will be approximately 20 yards. EQUIPMENT REGULATIONSAll shooting equipment is to be provided by the entrant and all equipment used is to be bowhunter,  bowhunter freestyle, or bowhunter freestyle limited type. Minimum bow weight allowed will be 35 pounds and maximum bow weight is not to exceed 70 pounds. NO TARGET BOWS OR SCOPED SIGHTS WILL BE ALLOWED. Sights are limited to fixed pins or rear adjustable sights only. Magnifying lenses will not be allowed. Stabilizers are to be no longer than twelve inches. (Measured from where stabilizer attaches to bow). Any style of release aid may be used. EVENTS, DATES AND PRIZES ARE ALL SUBJECT TO CHANGE
