Next Saturday Music & Arts and Yamaha are hosting a workshop featuring American Idol Saxophonist Mindi Abair. The Jazz Clinic with Mindi Abair is free to the public and offers a chance to learn tips and techniques from a true industry professional. The event kicks off at 1 p.m. with a special performance featuring the West Orange High School Jazz Band, followed by an hour-long workshop that will highlight Abair’s personal music journey from high school drum major to award-winning musician. Abair will also share her best tips and techniques for better sax playing. After the event, Abair will be available for an autograph session and Music & Arts will announce a special giveaway prize.
