The Casselberry Art House will feature its Annual Recycled Art Show April 1 - 30, 2013. The exhibit will be open Monday – Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Local artists will display unique sculptures and wall art creations using recycled or repurposed materials. Many artists consider recycled art as a perfect medium to exemplify their expression for the need to recycle.
Anything goes at this exhibit that includes two- and three-dimensional works, including but not limited to: paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, pottery, collage, metalwork and stonework. At least 50 percent of each piece of artwork is recycled (discarded/found) materials man-made or organic, including but not limited to: wood, metal or stone, glass, paper, fabric, pottery and plastic.
During Earth Fest 2013 on Saturday, April 27, the Casselberry Art House will host an artist reception from 12-3 p.m. Artists will be on hand to talk about their art and answer questions. Light refreshments will be served and awards and ribbons will be presented at 1 p.m. with a grand prize for “People’s Choice” award. For more information, or if you are interested in submitting artwork to showcase in the Recycled Art Show, contact Emmy Kline at 407-262-7700 ext. 1122 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
