Friday Night Out gives couples (or a couple of friends) a chance to participate in a fun, relaxing experience and learn something new through hands-on activities! Look for a new Friday Night Out program one Friday a month, and start your Fridays with us! Check us out at http://osceola.ifas.ufl.edu This month, learn how to dance a fun latin style of dancing called Bachata. Originating in the Dominican Republic, it made its way to the US in the 1990's, and has become popular over the last five years in Orlando. This hour-long lesson is taught by two instructors from Latin Intensity Dance Concepts located in Orlando, FL. Jorge and Melissa have danced bachata, salsa, and other latin styles, performing on various teams, before creating and opening their own company. Lean the basic steps and some simple choreography. Hopefully we will have you hooked, because there are plenty of opportunities in town to try out those moves, or move to the next level with future lessons. For an idea of what Bachata is and how it is danced, check out these YouTube videos! Please wear comfortable light clothing. Shoes should be comfortable with a slick sole, such as heels, flats, and men's dress shoes. Tennis shoes, flip flops, and footwear with a rubber sole are discouraged as it makes it difficult to move on the floor's surface. Registration deadline is April 15th. Tickets will not be refunded once the deadline has passed.
