“Saturday in the Garden” is a Speaker Series offered by UF/IFAS Extension, Lake County on the first Saturday of each month. The Speaker Series will be held on July 6th and will feature an hour long class on “Plant This, Not That”, presented by Lake County Master Gardener Clyde Jones. The program will begin at 10:00 am. Learn which plants are recommended for Central Florida and which plants should be avoided.The class will be held at the UF/IFAS Extension, Lake County office also known as the Agricultural Center, 1951 Woodlea Road, Tavares. Following the class, please explore the Discovery Gardens, our 3.5 acre gardens located next to the Ag Center. The gardens will be open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm. You may enjoy the gardens without attending the class. Picnics are encouraged. The fee for the class if $5.00 for adults and free for children under 16.
