Cameron Crews | Honoree for November 27th, 2020

Cameron was nominated by his mother, Karen, who said, “Cameron E. Crews is a First Responder. He is a Sergeant in Road Patrol for the Lake County Sheriff’s Office in Tavares Florida. He has been employed by the LCSO for 14 years. He has served in many areas; Dive Team, SWAT Team, Honor Guard, DEA, Special Investigations, he has served as an instructor in many areas of the Sheriff’s Office. He goes above and beyond the call of duty. He has also received the Medal of Valor for his response to a standoff with an armed individual that was aggressing towards himself and the members of his SWAT Team. He has also participated several times in the SWAT Round Up which occurs yearly with teams from all over the US and also from other countries around the world. This is an extreme obstacle course which requires great strength and endurance. He and his SWAT team have received high honors and trophies for their effort in the course. He is a team player and will put himself in the line of extreme danger in order to ensure the safety of others. Sgt. Cameron Crews is highly regarded and well respected by his co-workers and superiors. He is truly a first responder that will run toward the danger no matter how serious to protect and serve his community with all of his might”.
