Carl was nominated by his friend, Chris, who said, “I would like to nominate Trooper Carl H. Simpson. Trooper Simpson is an Army Veteran and has served the state of Florida and Central Florida as a Trooper for 45 years. In 1980, a drunk driver hit him while he was on duty, and Trooper Simpson suffered severe injuries. He was also in the Police Olympics as a gold medalist after the incident. Trooper Simpson continues to serve and protect our community and is very respected.”
