“Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains” A Huge Museum Exhibit With Over 400 Pieces Of Floyd Awesomeness

If you’re a fan of Pink Floyd at any level, this might be the coolest museum exhibit ever. In a travelling version of an original London exhibit, “Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Remains” has landed in Hollywood at the former Vogue Theater until January 2022. With over 400 pieces of original Floyd memorabilia from their 5 decade long career, this show has something for every Floyd fan from every era of the band.

Aubrey Powell is not only the co-curator of the exhibition but he’s also a co-designer for some of their iconic cover art including Dark Side Of The Moon and Animals, oh and he was Syd Barrett’s roommate in the 60′s. So, yeah, he’s been there. One of the more interesting pieces in the exhibit includes a cane that a teacher actually used to beat both Syd and Roger Waters when they were in school together, and was the inspiration for Waters’ famous line “teacher, leave them kids alone!” from Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2.

There are even full set pieces from a touring production of the wall. You can see pictures from the Hollywood version of the exhibit at the Variety article that goes in-depth at this link.

Here’s a video preview of the whole show.

And I’ve found some pictures from the original 2017 London exhibit and shared them here.
