Porchia was nominated by her aunt, Debbie, who said, “My niece is a police officer who has worked very hard to get to where her dream job is, protecting and upholding the law for all citizens. She is a single mom who worked at Chili’s restaurant for about 10 years to support herself and her son with no government assistance. She had a dream of becoming a Police Officer and fulfilled it by attending the Police Academy during the day and working nights for many months to make her dream a reality. All while taking care of her son and supporting his baseball passion as well”.
