There was talk about his record label dropping him if this, his third album, didn’t do well. And something a little bit different for Springsteen, this album completely composed on the piano. And then there was also too, there was legal struggles that were going on at the time Bruce was recording it, a change of management, but he came through the other side and certainly it was his breakthrough album.
