A Viral TikTok Video Makes A Decent Claim That Metallica May Have Ripped Off Some Riffs

A viral TikTok video that someone shared with me recently is making a claim that come of Metallica’s most famous riffs were essentially ripped off from other artists. The video plays the intro to The Unforgiven which does sound eerily close to an Iron Maiden song called Children Of The Damned. But it gets even closer when you hear the comparisons between Metallica’s The End Of The Line which sounds like Pearl Jam’s Why Go, Master Of Puppets that is even closer to a David Bowie song called Andy Warhol, and almost exactly the same when you hear Welcome Home (Sanitarium) played back to back, and sounds note for note similar to Some band called Break House’s song Rainbow Warrior.

Notice all the dates of the songs are noted, and if they’re correct then at least 3 of these Metallica riffs sound VERY close the other songs that came before them. Listen for yourself:

Now I don’t think anyone would accuse Metallica of being rip-off artists, I mean they have 11 studio albums alone. But these 4 riffs do sound very close to each other so...
