98.9 WMMO has partnered with Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando and Stanley Steemer of Central Florida to find forever homes for homeless pets in Central Florida.

You can help make it happen by adopting a pet, making a donation or sharing with family & friends the stories of pets that are waiting to be adopted.

There are so many wonderful pets in shelters across Central Florida that need to find their forever homes, and we want to help them do that with our “Paws of Fame” program.

WMMO’s first pet spotlight is Sheba!

Meet Sheba! She is the longest resident at the shelter. She’s almost six-years-old and has been at the shelter since August 2021. She was previously a resident of the Orlando shelter and was transferred to the Sanford shelter after the fire. She’s a sweet and very goofy girl, but she can take some time to really warm up to new people. She needs to be in an adult household as the only pet. She has a chronic injury in one of her back legs, so her activity level will need to remain light and her adopter will need to follow up with their regular vet for continued treatment.

She loves leisurely walks, treats, and pup-cups. She’s very much a “cuddle bug couch potato” at the end of the day and will sit with you for hours to have her back scratched, so her restricted activity doesn’t bother her too much!
