Stephen Pearcy Wants To Do A New RATT Album But Only If All Living Members Are In The Band

I don’t know about a new album, but a full band tour would sure be sweet.

Stephen Pearcy recently mentioned that he would want to another RATT album, but only if all surviving members of the band were in making the record together. Robbin Crosby is the only member no longer around, but the rest of the original lineup, Pearcy, Warren DiMartini, Bobby Blotzer, and Juan Croucier are all still alive. Like many bands, RATT has seen some serious infighting and arguments, court cases and lawsuits, over the band and their music. However, Pearcy says he’s still in contact with them all, and even though some relationships aren’t perfect, it seems they’re all trying to keep it copacetic.

Pearcy and Crucier had been playing shows as RATT, and as recently as 2018, DeMartini was also touring with them. The only hold out had been Blotzer, who was also involved in lawsuits about the band and their name and music.

Stephen says he and Bobby still talk and its a love-hate kind of brotherhood relationship they have. Whether or not they all come together for a new record remains to be seen. But in my opinion, if they all got together and tried a few live dates as a whole band, they could at least see how well they can keep it together long enough for a string of shows. And maybe we could see RATT live again before its too late.

And if they can’t get the whole band to get along very well, at least Stephen and Juan can keep doing things like the funny Geico commercial they did.

Of course its great to relive some old RATT classics like “Lay It Down”
