New Steve Perry Album “Traces” Out October 5!

The rumors seem to be confirmed now that Amazon has listed Steve Perry “Traces” – track listing and all – as available for pre-order right here . The album is due out October 5th.

One of the best voices in rock has a new website and new accounts on  Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Each one of them has the same message: “I know it’s been a long time comin’ …”

Perry recently shot an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that will air October 7.

After being inducted, as part of Journey, to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year, Perry told ABC that he was planning to release a new, “cathartic” solo album.  He said it was inspired partly by losing someone he was in love with, to breast cancer.

Is Steve Perry Trying To Tell Us Something?

Recently accounts have showed up on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram that are identifying them as being the official accounts for Steve Perry.

So far none of them have the verified check mark though.

They all carry the same message which also shows up as a header image on  Steve’s YouTube channel.

That message a video with that says “I know it’s been a long time comin’ … ”  and all the posts link to which has the same message.

Steve has long been rumored to be readying a new solo release.

Former Journey band mate Neal Schon even retweeted the message from Twitter.

But when asked about it Neal admitted he wasn’t sure if it was really Steve or not.

WMMO Remembers

There are men and women who risk their lives in our community everyday so that we may be safe. These are our First Responders. They are why WMMO has First Responder Friday as a way of thanking them one at a time in an effort to reach each individual to convey our thanks.

Unfortunately since we began this program we have seen some of our First Responders lose their lives and sadder still is that some of these losses have been in the line of duty.  We keep these men and women, their family, friends and brother and sister First Responders constantly in our thoughts.

This page is to keep their memories alive. We will go back and add people as the page continues. We pray that our future updates and additions will not be many.

To every man and woman working to protect us today please know we are thinking about you constantly and we wish you a safe return home at the end of your shift.

As this page is new we will begin with two members of Kissimmee Police Department whose lives we will be celebrating this coming Saturday.

Aerosmith’s First Tour Van Has Been “Picked”!

Aerosmith’s first tour van was found rusting in a wooded area near Chesterfield, Mass, and “picked” on a recent episode of American Pickers by Mike Wolfe And Frank Fritz.

Now before you say, but how do they really know that belonged to Aerosmith?? Well they had to verify, of course!

The pickers worked their way around through connections to Aerosmith co-founding guitarist Ray Tabano who lives nearby and came out to see it and verify that it was the “real deal.”

Wolfe and Fritz paid $25,000 for the van, not sure what will happen to it now.

This episode of American Pickers first aired on July 30th, but you can watch it on demand HERE. And you can read more about it HERE.

Hour-long Edition of Paul McCartney’s “Carpool Karaoke” Appearance Coming

Paul McCartney’s appearance on “Carpool Karaoke” on The Late Late Show with James Corden has had over 130 million views between YouTube and Facebook.

Executive producer Ben Winston said they are overwhelmed by the response. “We loved making it and knew we had something special, but it was so wonderful for us to see how many people watched and enjoyed it.”

They had a lot of material to work with for that segment too, much more than we got to see, so they’ve decided to put all that together for a one hour prime time special called  Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live from Liverpool.

Set the DVR now, the special will air on Monday, August 20th, at 8 p.m. on CBS!

Tom Petty 1st to Posthumously Hit Top 10

The new box set, Tom Petty: An American Treasure hasn’t even come out yet but our beloved rocker still has managed to reach the top of the charts, 10 months after his death.

The first single from the upcoming, 60-song box set, “Keep a Little Soul (Outtake, 1982)” rose from #12 to #7 this week on the adult alternative chart – the first time any artist has done so after death.

A Feud or Not a Feud… That is the question.

Here’s the quick backstory in case you forgot… Ann Wilson’s husband assaulted Nancy Wilson’s teenage sons backstage at a show in 2016. They managed to finish that tour but they avoided contact with each other as much as possible and used separate dressing rooms for the first time in their career. Needless to say, they did not part on very good terms.

Since that tour ended, Ann and Nancy have been doing separate solo projects… both out on tours and Ann working on a new solo album.

So with all that background info, things have not been looking good for Heart.

But Ann Wilson wants to set the record straight. She says, “there’s no feud between Nancy and I… We’re talking. We’re sisters, so everything’s good there. We just wanted to get out and stretch our wings, and we’re loving that. When the time is right, we’ll get back together and do something again.”

A few months back, Nancy also said they were talking some, that they have “done a little more communicating more recently” about family stuff. Nancy pointed out, though, that they need to “have the business conversation pretty soon” because “Heart has a nice offer to go on a tour next year, so [I’m] hoping [for that].”

Their statements don’t quite line up but here’s hoping they continue to mend those fences and we see Heart out on tour next year!

WATCH: Toto Cover Weezer’s ‘Hash Pipe’

Well it all started with a fan trolling Weezer on social media to cover Toto’s “Africa.”

After trolling the fan right back by covering “Rosanna” instead, Weezer finally made their version of “Africa.”

This turned out to be a success, the cover has now given Weezer their highest-charting song in almost 10 years. Plus Weezer and Toto are both on tour right now (not together of course) so the extra press always helps.

Toto’s Steve Lukather was impressed by and really likes the cover. Toto’s keyboardist Steve Porcaro even showed up to perform with Weezer on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

So Toto said they would return the favor and cover one of Weezer’s hits. We’re going to get a single released soon but Toto already added it to their live shows.

In the intro, Lukather said they figured since they were smoking hash before Weezer was even born that they would cover “Hash Pipe.”

As a big Weezer fan, let me say, it was a little surreal but cool seeing Toto do this one. I’m looking forward to hearing the official single in the next few weeks.

Check out both covers below. And since you might want a reference, I included the originals of both songs below too!

Lights Turned On Inside the Eyesore on I4

Could it be?

After 17 YEARS of construction, maybe, just maybe, the I4 Eyesore is going to be finished.

There are some hilarious social posts from people who took pictures Tuesday night, when, for a brief moment in time, the lights turned on inside this Altamonte Springs building, that has sat unfinished for almost 2 decades.

WFTV says , the owner is promising completion this year…

WATCH: Joan Jett Biopic “Bad Reputation” Trailer

It would be incredibly hard for an all-female group – of TEENAGERS – to be taken seriously today in the world of rock. Can you imagine how it must have been in the 70s?

You won’t have to for much longer.

Joan Jett will share some of the crazy stories of life in the rock ‘n roll boys club in the new rock doc “Bad Reputation”, in theaters and streaming services September 28.

Here’s a look:

Check Out The New Slash Single With Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators

Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators have a new album coming out September 21st.

The album is called “Living The Dream”.

Slash said he worked on new songs with the band during their 2014 tour.

He would come up with ideas and he would then work them out during sound checks with the band.

Back in January on a break from the Guns N’ Roses tour he and the band hit the studio to record the tracks.

Slash with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators will hit the road until October.

Have no fear though, Slash has said GNR will hit the road again in November and December.

Check out the first single from the album, “Driving Rain”, below.

Watch Joe Walsh Jam With Foo Fighters On “Rocky Mountain Way” At Fenway Park

Joe Walsh is a lot of fun live.

You know what I’m talking about if you saw him with The Eagles back in April at Camping World Stadium.

So the other night Joe showed up as Foo Fighters guest at Fenway Park.

Together they ran through a high octane version of “Rocky Mountain Way”.

Watch the video below to see what I mean.
