Hurricane Nicole: What’s closed, canceled in Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. — Here’s a list of closures and event cancellations due to Tropical Storm Nicole.

Brevard County:

The Warbird Air Museum in Titusville will be closed, Thursday, Nov. 10 due to NIcole. The museum will re-open Friday Nov 11 at 9:00 a.m.

Orange County:

Harry P. Leu Gardens will be closed to the public on Thursday, Nov 10. All scheduled private events and classes will proceed as normal. Officials with Leu Gardens said they plan to reopen on Friday, Nov. 11, t 9:00 a.m., pending any major damages or safety issues.

Orange County Animal Services will be closed at 3 p.m. Wednesday and closed to the public on Thursday, Nov. 10, with plans to reopen at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov 11. OCAS staff will still be onsite monitoring and caring for all 276 shelter pets during the storm.

Gatorland will be closed Thursday, Nov. 10 due to Tropical Storm Nicole.

The park is expected to reopen on Friday, November 11, for regular hours.

Seminole County:

Orlando Sanford International Airport announced the airport passenger terminal will be closing Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 4:00 PM.

Passengers are urged to contact their airline for information on flights.


Florida:

FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers in Florida have temporarily closed Nov 9 in anticipation of severe weather and will reopen once weather permits.
