According to the San Francisco Chronicle, a good Samaritan found an “adorable piglet” wandering the streets of Pleasanton on Wednesday, and officers with the city’s police department are trying to locate the animal’s owners.

In the meantime, officers have affectionately dubbed the petite porker Bacon.

“Please help reunite this piglet with his family,” Pleasanton police tweeted, adding the hashtag #BringBaconHome.

Pleasanton Animal Services Officer Frankie Ayers told the Chronicle that Bacon was found at around 5 p.m. on Vineyard Avenue and taken to the East County Animal Shelter the following day.

“He’s kind (of) our little pig mystery right now,” Ayers told the newspaper, adding, “It’s been the best part of my day today.”

If no one claims the black and white piglet within 30 days, Bacon will become available for adoption, she added.
