The Rice Township Police Department reported that a vehicle crashed into the rear of a home Wednesday, WBRE-TV reported.

Several police and fire agencies responded to the scene, which was the home of Nuangola Councilman Jeff Beck, according to the television station.

According to the Rice Township Police Department, multiple teams of first responders responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a structure with possible confinement in Nuangola.

“Found a vehicle completely into the rear of the structure, but no injuries to vehicle occupants or residents,” the Nuangola Volunteer Fire Department wrote in a Facebook post.

Joseph J. Tucker, the president of the Nuangola Volunteer Fire Department, told WBRE that the vehicle’s brakes failed, causing it to crash into two vehicles in Beck’s driveway. The vehicle pushed through the two cars before stopping inside the family’s home.

Tucker said the driver of the vehicle was fortunate that cars were in the driveway, or else their car would have crashed through the remaining parts of the home and into a lake.

The Nuangola Volunteer Fire Department wrote on Facebook that Beck and his wife had to be removed from the second floor of their home by a ladder.

There were no injuries, but police said one of the occupants in the vehicle was a pregnant woman who was taken to an area hospital with no visible injuries, WBRE reported.

There were no other injuries, authorities said.

The scene was cleared by 1:45 a.m. EDT, the Nuangola Volunteer Fire Department wrote in its Facebook post.
