A Documentary About The Deadly Station Nightclub Fire During A Great White Concert Just Dropped

If you were alive and a music fan in 2003 then you remember the Great White concert that tragically turned deadly when pyro ignited the building and a horrible fire erupted. The Station Nightclub Fire is a horrendous and infamous event in music history that left the country in shock. 100 concert goers died in the fire, and hundreds more were injured when the foam soundproofing ignited from the pyro on stage, an enormous fire erupted, and many fans were trapped in the building. Now, after almost 20 years, a new documentary explores that night, what happened, and how it could have possibly gone so wrong, so fast. The doc titled America’s Deadliest Rock Concert: The Guest List, features interviews with Great White’s Jack Russell, and Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider, who had also played the Station previously, along with Lita Ford and others. According to a recent interview with Dee, the movie is titled The Guest List because Jack had been in West Warwick Rhode Island the day of the concert getting a tattoo at a local shop, and met some Great White fans there. Jack actually put a bunch of those fans on his personal guest list for the show that night and many of them never made it out. The doc launched on the Reelz Channel Sunday, and will have a couple private invitation only screenings.

One of the bright spots of the tragedy is the story of fire survivor Joe Kinan who’s story is partially told in the movie. It was because of the fire that he ended up meeting his now wife, Carrie. Here’s a picture of them with their newborn daughter, and the one and only Dee Snider.
