Usually when people talk of an epic guitar part, they’re referencing a ripping solo, or an epic opening lead. Too often, though, the hard driving rhythm guitarists are left unmentioned, even though they often drive the song as hard as the drums do. Such is the case with Malcolm Young, possibly the greatest rhythm guitarist to date, and easily one of the most well known, and under-rated. Angus is always thought of by many as the guitar god in the band. And of course he deserves the title to be sure. But to overlook Malcolm is to overlook everything that AC/DC is. A straight ahead rock band who needs no frills and just constantly does their thing better than anybody else.

Nowhere is that more evident than in Malcolm’s isolated guitar track from AC/DC’s biggest hit, You Shook Me (All Night Long). And its actually Malcolm that does the solo mid-song, which you can hear in this video.
