September 10th, 1999, Standing on the Corner Park opens in Winslow, Arizona. Now in tribute to the Eagles song, “Take It Easy”, the park features a flatbed Ford and a statue of a man holding a guitar standing on the corner. It’s a very popular tourist destination. Many people go there to take pictures.

On this day in 1988, Guns N’ Roses out on the road. They’re the opening act for Aerosmith when they find out that they’ve hit number one on the singles chart for the first of two weeks with “Sweet Child O’ Mine.”
And today in 1970, BB King does a concert live at Cook County Jail. They record the show and it ends up being released as the album “Live at Cook County Jail.”
