There is a traveling replica of the Washington D.C. monument of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The 3/5ths scale wall has traversed America since its inception in 1996. The wall is coming to Florida for this weekend only for a display in Crystal River at Crystal Harley-Davidson. It will be outside and open and available for viewing 24 hours a day while its there, with security standing guard around the clock. This smaller scale wall is still enormous at 375 feet long and 7 1/2 feet tall at its highest, and it is an exact replica of the large wall, with all of the over 58,000 names inscribed in the black granite.

There will also be a couple of ceremonial rides led by Crystal Harley-Davidson, one on Thursday and one Saturday, to commemorate the event. So if you’re looking for a reason to ride this weekend, or just something different to do for a day trip, here’s a fairly rare chance to see the wall up close short of heading to D.C.
