First off this isn’t a creepy story of incest or anything ugly like that, even though it happened in Virginia. Just kidding Virginians, we love you!

But it is a story of how weird genetics can be. It first made international news in February, but I’m just hearing about it so I thought I’d share with you. Twin sisters Brittany and Brianna married twin brothers they met at a twin convention, Josh and Jeremy Salyer. And in ‘of course they do’ news, all 4 share an Instagram account...but that’s another story. Anyway they did have a joint wedding, so 2 sets of twins married each other at the same time. I guess that way no one can claim they came first and the others are just copying.

But here’s where it gets weird. Both couples had babies just a few months apart. Single babies, in case you were wondering. But these cousins share the exact same DNA which, at least in the eyes of science and genetics, makes then identical twins too. So they’re cousins, AND brothers...and now my brain hurts.
