I used to hate it when someone messed with a song I love. But I’ve realized that sometimes different versions can be fun to listen too also. Plus being a DJ for most of my life, hearing how some of my favorite songs blend so well together is pretty cool. And if you like classic hits and mash-ups too then this is one of the best I’ve heard.
Huey Lewis & The News have been one of my favorite bands since my brother and I used to listen to “Sports” on vinyl over and over again, memorizing all the lyrics, and even making pretend videos for our favorites.
A little later in my life I was turned on to Metallica and have been a fan ever since. Well, except for “St. Anger”, that album kinda sucks.
But now I can jam both of these amazing bands in one song! One of the best parts of this mash-up is how they mixed the videos together too. Its funny and actually pretty damn cool to hear “Enter Sandman” to the tune of “Hip To Be Square”. And its even cooler to see The News dancing along to Metallica. Check it out.
