Slade Drummer Allegedly Fired by Email

February 6th, 2020 — Don Powell, Slade’s drummer, has come forward claiming he was fired from the band via email.

The email has said to come from the only original member left in the band, Dave Hill. In a social media response from Hill, he said “our parting has not come out of the blue...”

Powell has been Slade’s only drummer over the band’s more than 50 year music run.
